About this Piece   When I was a kid, my parents would take us on these amazing camping trips across the Pacific Northwest. One such memorable jaunt was to the Hoh Rain Forest on the West side of Washington state. The moss grew thick across fallen rocks and trees, dampening your footsteps as you ran across trails in the stillness. When I close my eyes, I can see the vivid green moss that captivated my youth; Mother Earth's own fragile skin glowing with the most vibrant of colors. These earrings pay homage to that picture in my mind; using faceted green vasonite stones to mimic the color of thick growing moss on the forest floor. The stones are wire wrapped by hand inside sterling silver teardrop shapes, which have been gently oxidized for contrast and depth and fall about 1 3/4 inches from the ear. My youth is calling.
