About this Piece   Something old, something new, with just a bit of a bohemian flair. An array of antique Afghanistan silver pendants and charms made by the nomadic Pashtun tribe some 100 years ago are the backdrop for this lovely limited edition necklace. The nomadic tribe known for their silversmithing skills would make these charms and wear them as they travelled. These sweet vintage pieces show their years of wear, adding charm and a story. The three charms are accented with a single teardrop shaped freshwater pearl, a spice-colored hessonite garnet and a faceted andalusite stone the color of rootbeer--a lovely feminine palette for the season. I can imagine the lives of the women who first wore these charms, as the sound of metal clinked across a bear chest or around the waste as they went about their daily routines. Regardless of how far apart our worlds are, one can be assured that its original owner cherished it as much as you will. A simple oxidized sterling ball chain finishes the piece, creating a style that can be worn close to the heart everyday. Necklace is 18 inches.
